So. It's been a while.

Hey!!!!!!

I'm still alive. I wanted to make an update at least every week. I apologize for taking longer and I'll try better from now on.

The past couple of weeks have been fun/challenging. Lets see, for starters, the biggest thing that happened to me was the one ASBC test that I have to take I failed. That was really bad. I was so upset with myself. I locked myself in my room over the weekend and re-took the test tis morning. And this time I passed with flying colors! Still, it was embarrassing.

This is a picture of what I saw on Monday morning under my door. It was a not shoved under my door from Justin "Whit" Whitford. He's my buddy over here. I've met a lot of good people over here.

I don't like to make excuses but this is the first time that ASBC has done their testing this way. They used to have two tests, one after 3 weeks, and one after 6 weeks. Now, they have just one test, and you learn the material from weeks 2-4. So just 3 weeks of learning for twice the info! Oh well, they told us that all of the tests from this class were lower than any other. I guess this is how the Air Force learns.

Oh well, all of the "hard" stuff is over... for now. This week we have 'Combined Ops'. Which means that we'll be paired up with a senior enlisted airman for a couple of days and they'll share with us some of their experiences and stuff like that.

I am coming back into New Orleans this weekend! I am so excited for that. This will be the last time before the move. I guess I'll be super busy trying to tie up loose ends over there.

Please say a prayer for my grandmother who needs them. She is having a rough time and is in and out of the hospital right now.

  2. I know this is old, but the very first thing you should remember is that the enlisted people in the Air Force are never EVER EVER referred to as "soldiers." That is only for the Army. In the Air Force, enlisted people (actually, everyone including officers) is an Airman. Army has Soldiers, Navy has Sailors, Marines have Marines, and USAF has Airmen. It sounds like a small thing, but it's important. And yes, I am an Airman (a Senior NCO, to be specific).
